Welcome to the SWE Cambridgeshire UK Affiliate

Society of Women Engineers Cambridgeshire UK Affiliate is a non-profit organization that empowers, connects and support women engineers and engineering graduates in and around Cambridgeshire.

In September 2022, SWE Cambridgeshire became an official Global Affiliate.

Our initial aim of starting this was to see if we can create a strong network of women engineers locally who could leverage each other’s expertise, share experiences and help provide opportunities to grow in our respective careers. It could help provide requisite mentorship, coaching & sponsorship to take us to the next level. Also to look at how we can ensure a strong pipeline to fall back on for the future. We usually have lots of discussion on diversity, equity and inclusion in our organizations but perhaps not much practical tips around  it.

Our Long term aim is to reach a stage where we don’t need a Society of Women Engineers as we will have equal opportunities and hence there would be no need to break any virtual glass ceiling per-se.
